See you soon, Retiro... Welcome back, Escorxador

Here at the SITGES - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, we inform that our upcoming 57th edition, to be held from October 3rd to 13th, 2024, will have to do without the services of the Retiro Theater.

What has been one of the Festival's most emblematic theaters for over 40 years now is taking a break to undertake remodeling and improvement work. The absence of the Retiro Theater will not, by any means, affect the total number of movie theaters for this year's Festival.

After an absence of one year, we celebrate the recovery of the Escorxador - Cultural Center. By October, this renovated multipurpose venue will be ready to host screenings again as part of our film competition, thanks to the extraordinary remodeling work performed by the Sitges Town Council. The adaptation of both the inside and outside of this facility will undoubtedly make it one of the nerve centers of the upcoming Festival.

We will soon be announcing more details regarding how this 57th edition will unfold, which is already taking shape and is sure to be another spectacular party for all fantastic film lovers.
