The China advertising agency is the author of the piece, 'The Best Faces Out There Are Yours' where fans are waiting for their dose of blood.
For the first time, and taking advantage of its 50th anniversary celebration, the Sitges Film Festival turns the camera around in its commercial spot and focuses on the persons who make it all possible: the fans that fill its seats and give life and meaning to the Festival. It’s a well-deserved tribute to the Festival’s major players, arriving with shades of Dracula, who is Sitges 2017’s leit motiv.
The corporate spot for the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia this 2017, created, once again, by the China advertising agency, pays tribute to its followers through images where a variety of fans appear in close-ups, waiting for their dose of blood. These are real fans who participated in the shooting of the spot.
Rafa Antón – executive creative director at China and in charge of the Festival’s campaign since 2002– and Miguel Ángel Duo – creative director at China–, make the case for the parallelism the spot offers between fans and vampires: "There are two kinds of people who need blood to survive: One, obviously, are vampires. The others are fantastic and horror film fans, who clamor for their dose in the form of bloody movies. The reason that, year after year, they never miss their date with the Festival". This parallelism between one –vampires– and the other –fans–, serves for the Festival to be able to pay a double tribute to the Dracula figure, the eternal hemoglobin addict, and the fans that fill Sitges’ theaters, and whose loyalty makes the Festival a special place, year after year.
The spot is one of the main pieces of Sitges 2017’s campaign and is being shown on television stations, in movies theaters and via Internet channels. You can see Sitges 2017’s corporative spot here.
The Festival wants to thank to all of you who participated in the shooting of our commercial spot. We couldn't include all of you, but all of you ar in #Sitges50.
